A landscape
with room to listen.
Landers, California, is one possible setting for future low-impact field observation and education. SRI has not selected, acquired, or obtained control of a site there.
Observe with care.
Establish the method first.
The Landers region offers a distinctive desert environment and a rich local history. That context may motivate carefully bounded research questions, but it does not demonstrate extraordinary physics or validate any particular interpretation of reported experiences.
This page intentionally contains no parcel identifiers, property map, boundary claim, or acquisition solicitation. Any future site-specific research would require documented access rights, appropriate permits, safety and environmental review, and institutional authorization.
First, establish the method
and the authority.
Assess
Define bounded research questions, baseline variables, alternative explanations, and methods appropriate to the evidence sought.
Secure responsibly
Confirm a lawful site agreement, landowner permissions, institutional approvals, fair-market terms, and conflict-of-interest safeguards before any work.
Measure with restraint
If an authorized site becomes available, establish a minimal environmental baseline and publish protocols before interpreting observations.
Serve the public
Share methods, educational materials, and appropriately reviewed results, including null or inconclusive findings.
Landers is one possible research context, not a required condition for SRI's wider mission. No specific property, visitor program, observatory, residence, laboratory or retreat is represented as approved or operated by SRI.
Research access,
not implied ownership.
A privately held property is not an SRI asset. Any future SRI use of privately held land would require a mission-related written scope, fair-market terms, independent conflict review, disinterested board approval, separate accounting, appropriate insurance, and all necessary permissions. This page does not solicit funds for a private real-estate purchase.
Before any field activity
Documented research scope; verified landowner permission; lawful access; safety and insurance; zoning and permit review; environmental protections; approved budget; and conflict-of-interest controls.
No relationship with, operation by, or endorsement from the Integratron is represented. The research vision does not depend upon unverified anomalous phenomena.
Review the safeguards ↗A place with history and questions.
The Landers region includes landmarks such as Giant Rock and the Integratron, whose local history is documented by the Los Angeles Times and the Center for Land Use Interpretation. These are points of cultural and historical interest—not evidence of extraordinary physical claims or any legal or research relationship with SRI. We intend to respect local residents, dark skies, ecological constraints, and existing institutions.
No parcel map, aerial property image, boundary depiction, or ownership representation is published here. Any future site proposal would require independent review of lawful access, environmental constraints, safety, and applicable land-use requirements.
